Journal 1 Brent Wire

I am volunteering for ESL program where i'll be trained to help teach kids how to read and such. I believe these kids are going to be around the middle school and high school grade, so at this stage at living their life in america it is imperative that they quickly begin to learn english. These kids will likely be spanish speaking students who tend to be associated with negative stereotypes of being illegal immigrants and not well educated. They are a large group that seems to be ever growing and increasing the literacy rate would greatly knock this negative stereotype down a notch or two.
